What does the word "sure" mean to you?

My daughter and I had an interesting conversation
on the way home from school today.

I want to hear from all of you, when you hear the word "sure"
from someone, what is your initial perception
or interpretation of their answer? Why?

Does this word mean multiple things
depending on the question it answers?

Does the tone used when it's used
affect the way you receive it?

How many times and different ways have you said
"sure" since reading this blog?

How many were taken back to the "Valley Girls"
movie because of it?

Or is there another word that could be interpreted and misinterpreted in a similar fashion?
