Twelves are Everywhere!
What's all the hoopla surrounding the number twelve? Twelve hours on the face of a clock. Twelve apostles in the New Testament. Twelve donuts in a dozen. Twelve twelves in a gross. Twelve inches in a...well, you get the idea.
Surely other numbers are just as spiffy. How about eleven? So symmetrical. Or thirteen--deliciously superstitious. And then there's nine, which rhymes with so many great words: fine, shine, line, mine, dine, twine....
