message 1: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca Witt The Keeper of the Wind was recommended to me by a friend who likes to download books by new and upcoming authors, being an author herself. She said that The Keeper of the Wind was a cut above the rest and so I took her word for it and bought it on my Kindle. I had intended to read it to my children, but ended up reading it by myself as the first chapter really hooked me. I love stories that start in the past and jump forward to the present, and this book does that beautifully, with the Prologue setting the atmosphere for the whole book.

The three main characters are well written and you can almost hear each of their individual voices. Some of the scenes in this book play almost as a film, and it would make a very good blockbuster! The story plays out in a steady rhythm and is never rushed or drawn out. At the end of each chapter, you can’t help but look forward, and at times I just couldn’t put it down.

I can’t wait to read the next book by this author! I will be looking out for it. Definitely recommend a read!
