Super Bowl--the aftermath

Well, the Super Bowl was fun for Seattle. For the rest of us, not so much. Even the SB commercials were not up to par, though a few were hit out of the park, if I can mix sports with wild abandom. Grading the teams is a non-brainer, A for the Seahawks, F for the Broncos (sob) But here are the grades for the commercials. I am sure it comes as no surprise that I loved the Clydesdales and the puppy ad.

Misfit Hah. This was the first time I could understand and follow what was happening in a football game. Guys were actually running with a ball :)

As a side note, traffic is unusually light in Seattle for a Monday morning. We're thinking lots of people are sleeping in after a hard night's partying.

Mimi Seattle fan representing that it was great fun for us :)

Sharon I can definitely understand that, Mimi. While I am not a Seahawks fan, I do like your QB and Percy Harvin.

Mimi Agreed, Sharon. Admittedly, my favorite part about Football season is getting to lie on the couch and read for several games in a row ;) I do like that each team has players that stand out in their kindness and graciousness, and that there is a true camaraderie in being players.
Several photos of Eli showed that he was definitely feeling badly for his brother yesterday.

Sharon It must be difficult for the wives and children of football players after they suffer a loss like this, Mimi. At times it must feel like living with a wounded bear.

Mimi I would imagine so, sigh. It's hard when one that we love has such a public bad day.

message 7: by Mimi (new)

Mimi Not that anyone I love has had a nationally televised bad day, but I can imagine.

Sharon When you think about how emotional football fans can get over a loss, it stands to reason that it must hurt even more for the players. And no one I love has had a nationally televised day, either, thankfully!
