When I was a little girl, my favorite dinner (hands down) was my mom’s “pot roast and noodles.”
Because of the way she made it, it spent a full two hours in the oven…with the tantalizing (a.k.a. torturous when you’re little and it’s your favorite) smell pretty hard to ignore within the first thirty minutes. 
Now that I’m older, I still like it (I make it the exact same way), but I can now handle the smell with a bit more patience(most of the time).
