Reviews are starting…gulp

This is always the most nerve-wracking time for a writer, right before a book comes out when the first reviews start trickling in, and you have absolutely no idea what they will be like.

As the author, I have no creative judgment whatsoever. More worrying, I tend to think everything I’ve written is absolute rubbish until it is finally validated by someone I trust - my editor, my agent - at which point I can start to breathe again and admit I do actually rather like it.
