Preach on, Brother! I made the mistake of purchasing a Windows Touch; the constant switching back and forth between the desktop and touch modes was a nightmare. Luckily, it was returnable and I was able to escape imminent insanity. I'm much happier with the Samsung Note I got in exchange for it.

the PC in the link above is a 4-in-1; a perfect harmony between windows and android. one moment it can be a windows laptop; or with the click a button, an android laptop. or if you prefer mobility, disconnect it from the keyboard to have a very powerful android tablet based on the new Intel ARM processors; or switch back to windows with one button.
also may i suggest watching this video on windows 8, it helped me learn the OS much better than i could have on my own. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ijE3...

LOVE your books. Anxiously awaiting your next Formic war series book.

8 is a test. A test to see how compatible a hybrid is and they are the only company so far to try and bridge that gap.
This gives them an advantage.
I see this as the latest vista. The good things from xp with the test bed of 7. Next up Windows 9. The new XP. The new 7.
This version has to be here and with it, microsoft are prepping the waters for a OS/device everyone wants. The tablet laptop hybrid. So while it might be a failure overall, they are readying you for the change incoming. I think that's a change for the good.
Also, incase anyone is interested, click and drag from the middle top to the bottom to close current windows. It also "apparently" automatically closes apps and processes after use. (I'm sceptical though").
That aside, I'd still love to see an android OS.
