Lucy’s got her pistol
and she’s ready to shoot!
Guest Post by Eva Lefoy
My latest Science Fiction romance book, The Trouble With Memories is out now from Decadent Publishing. The book was recently featured on The Galaxy Express, and Heather’s comment about the heroine, Lucy Borasco, was:
*The story opens with one very emotionally conflicted, red-haired heroine. She doesn’t know whether to punch the hero or jump his bones.
Yep! That’s Lucy! She and Captain California Sykes were formerly sheet-ripping-hot lovers, until he decided to focus on his career. That was Cal’s first mistake. His second mistake was signing up for the Mars Mission, because the Mars Mission really did a number on his mental capacities. Specifically, he’s lost his memories. And he’s lost his memories of Lucy as well.
Needless to say, Lucy’s madder than a Thalius Rock Eater. She’d just as likely to shoot Cal as she is to kiss him. Turns out though, shooting him would have been the SAFER option:
“Lucy.” His voice sounded hoarse, as if he’d sucked sand into his windpipe. “Don’t.” Down below, his cock begged, yes, yes, yes. The damn organ had been asleep for ages. One look at Lucy had brought it back to life with a vengeance. But he couldn’t risk hurting her. “Something bad might happen.”
She cocked a brow. “What are you afraid of? If you don’t remember me, you won’t feel a thing.”
He watched her moist ruby lips move closer. Her mouth opened, ready for a kiss, and his groin ached, needing to be inside her. Smoking meteoroids, he wanted this. Even if he still didn’t remember her afterward. Even if it killed him.
Her sweet little breath puffed against his mouth. “Just one little kiss.”
Ignoring another twinge of pain he leaned forward, grabbed the back of her head, angled it to fit his needs, then lowered his famished mouth to hers. Her mewl of surprise tingled his lips. One hand cupped her ass and he pulled her body taut against his, grinding his hardened length against her tender mound. Her fingernails dug into his shoulders, and if her moans were any indication, they’d not been coolly distant lovers. They’d been hot every-single-night or three-times-a-day lovers. Now, if he could only remember what made her come he might get—
“Aaaaaaagh!”
He clamped both hands to his head and sank toward the floor, legs shaking. The pain increased in severity every second, until by the time his butt reached the carpeting, he’d almost passed out. Her hands were on him, but they barely registered. The heat of wires melting inside his brain was burning through his gray matter, leaving him in utter agony.
And isn’t that why everyone loves redheads?

Happy reading!
