Launch: Chocolate Chip and Raisin—Fostering Spirit of Adventure in Black Women & Girls

Chocolate Chip and Raisin
Chocolate Chip and Raisin was inspired by our founder, Veronica’s love of adventures in the great outdoors. She noticed that while hiking, zip lining, horseback riding, rock climbing, and skydiving, there were very few, if any at all, Black women participants. This notion of being “the only chocolate chip in the cookie” or “the only raisin in the bowl of oatmeal/milk/rice” arose. Veronica thought, “There has got to be more of us out here!” It was as if a light bulb went off. What if all of the Black women and girls who were used to adventuring alone could be brought together? Chocolate Chip and Raisin was the answer to that question.
