The Countdown has begun
Seriously, there's a clock on the website now. Right there, to your left. Nope, look up. See it there? In two days The Covington Witches, part 1 will be released and I am tickled pinkish. Advance readers have been very pleased with the story and can't wait for part 2, and I think you will be also. That is, if you like your horror with a lot less gore and more atmosphere, you'll like this book. Also, if you can relate or enjoy reading about families and the drama they bring along for the ride, you'll like this book. And if you like being creeped out by the mundane, you will probably like this book.
I was reading an article a while ago by an actress who played on the old time series, Dark Shadows (I love that show!). Anyway, she likened Dark Shadows to terror rather than horror and I think that applies to The Covington Witches also. When some people think of horror now, they immediately think of slasher movies, which is not what I think of when I think of horror. The Gothic mysteries are what come to mind when I think horror. You know there is something coming, but you don't know what. But, I can guarantee it's not wearing a hockey mask and wielding a huge chef's knife.
Also, what is more frightening than a swamp at night? Yep, part of the story takes place in a swamp, at night. And did I mention there are witches? Stay tuned! The best way to do that is by signing up for my mailing list. That is the best way to get free stuff, stay up to date on upcoming release dates and any events that are happening around the book.
Check back here on Friday, January 10th. Purchase links for The Covington Witches will be live on the website after midnight on Friday.
