Why Mechanical Engineering is Best ? - ( Getting a Core Job ).

Global Crashed economy, which is still recovering resulting in sluggish Job Markets around the world. Oh Wow!! We are Mechanical Engineers right!! No Worries!! Chill!!
In a stronger market, students in fields such as journalism, fine arts and history can hope to find at least somewhat relevant work to their interests, but nowadays they are more likely to be spotted serving coffee at the shops or in unrelated office jobs.
So What sort of graduate is more likely to find a good job upon completion of Engineering? . Engineers build societies, from software engineers typing away in a Banglore cubicle to civil engineers guiding the construction of the tallest skyscrapers in NCR. One of the most expansive and lucrative engineering fields is mechanical engineering, which could be described as the applied science of forces and movement.

For I selected it only because its mother of all trades, We mechanical engineers have got working knowledge of almost everything like computer apps, electricity, Physics, structures, etc.. For this reason, a degree in mechanical engineering can be used to land a job nearly anywhere an engineer is needed. It is, consequently, also considered to be one of the most challenging undergraduate degree courses available. Once students have pushed through the core curricula, they are usually able to branch out into their own interests, as offered by the university. Some go into aerospace engineering, HVAC, engine design, robotics, manufacturing or even theme park ride design. There are hundreds of fascinating careers open to an individual who has been inspired by and achieved through those three or four years at university.

Now comes the IT sector factor. Not all of you get core jobs and it really hurts after spending 10 lakhs in a college consistently ranked among Top Institutions in India. Well college has nothing to do with your core job. They promise placement at the time of admission and not a Core Job.

So How One Grabs a Core Job???

Well Only companies with a bulk requirement of more than 10 go for campus interviews. There also It all depends on location of plant . HR will find it easy to go to nearby colleges and recruit than going 2000 miles away in some college. So If there's no campus,How can one land up getting a Core Job?

It all lies in Human Nature. Psychologically Every Man favors someone he knows or feels comfortable with. Keeping this in Mind, The limited regular vacancies in core companies are filled by a Popular Method called Reference.
So If you got Strong reference of someone working in that company,7 out of 10 correct answers can surely land you a job which in case is 9 with no reference add to that no surity because someone always got some reference.
The Method I propose is you make a good CV and apply in every Core Company you can find which accepts and collects CV's. If you are good at PR , In some of the company your sent CV will surely be called if you got reference. So While working in CTS/TCS also, Please Keep applying everywhere along with making new links using LinkedIn etc.The Moment you get an interview call or entrance exam invitation,Prepare rigorously and appear for interview.
