Snowflakes falling

The snow fell and suddenly i remembered what it had been like hidden in a clear world. The snowflakes covered the flaws of the ugly adolescent landscape. Masking it into a winter Wonderland, my heart sank and yet again i was alone, at peace, or in pieces. Whichever came before the later. Rumors were true and I'd hit my head against the figurative wall so many times it's split into two. One side reminding me of how the cruel world works, the other side reminds me how cruel I work in this world. Leaving standards at the door of promise or compromise.
