Weekly Notes January 6, 2014
Straight from the desk of Alice Brown:

Life has finally slowed down from all of the holiday rush, and I am slowly getting back into a writing pattern. Currently working on Up In Smoke, Texas Vampire Rangers, Book 1. Want a snippet? Okay, here is just a short one. Please remember that this is completely unedited.
Up In Smoke, Texas Vampire Rangers, Book 1 (snippet)
He was a dead man. Okay, technically, many would say that he was already dead because he was a vampire, but he didn’t believe that for a moment. He was made up of flesh and blood, just like everyone else. He had feelings. He had morals and values. He had goals in life. Ones he wasn’t going to live to see come true if he didn’t get out of this damn blasted Texas sun and heat.
Also worthy of mentioning; Sapphamire, Dragons of Dragonose is finished and currently in the editors hands. We should still be on track for an early March release date.

Quote of the Week:
I know the voices in my head aren't real...but sometimes their ideas can be absolutely awesome!
A Note from the Paws:

Hi everyone! I am Harley (the one in the back sitting up) and the cat in front of me is my brother White Star.
We had a party last week! When the humans took all of their Christmas decorations down, my brother and I climbed into boxes and totes, playing with anything we could. It's a wonder we didn't get closed up in a tote and moved to the garage!
And while we have been informed that we get spotlight appearances on this blog, we were also told that we would have to share it with the D-O-G (ugggh!), and maybe even that ornery reptile they call a bearded dragon once in a while. That thing thinks it rules MY house! Can you imagine? Comes out of his tank, the humans sit him on the floor, and the first thing he does is come running up to MY bed, where I am minding my own business and resting, and then starts hissing at me!
I'd like to put the little monster in his place, but to be honest, he is about 18 inches long and still growing. I'm kind of scared of something that big!
And don't even get me started about that puppy that they brought into the family a week before Christmas. When he first arrived, he was about my size. Okay, I felt like I could take him on if I had to. Now, just a few short weeks later, he is twice my size! What in the world are they feeding that dog?
Have a great week!
