We intend Viewmaster to provoke consideration of the often un-remarked, frequently unacknowledged pressures that surround the act of composition. Beginning with the CCCC Statement on the Multiple Uses of Writing (2007), we tease out questions about our collective vision for writing, about the use of "appropriate means," and about what un-named ideologies are present in our use of words and images to "build a better world."
