1) Eat better foods. Exercise. Just generally be healthier.

2) Be a nicer person in real life. I’m super nice to all ya’ll internet folks, but IRL people have to deal with Short Tempered Crass Sara.

3) Read more books. The number of books I read last year was embarrassing. I know, I know, I should be a more prolific reader.

4) Realize that New Year’s Resolutions, while sometimes beneficial, are really just ways for us to be hard on ourselves on top of how hard we already are on ourselves the rest of the year and we don’t need to change because DAMN IT WE’RE GOOD ENOUGH JUST THE WAY WE ARE.

And I really believe 2014 will accept us, flaws and all. It’s going to be that kind of open-armed year.
