Just finished reading a Kindle version and its quite tantalizing. A very delicate topic that needs attention drawn to it. If, by doing so with a book, by all means do it justice. That is exactly what Caddy Rowland has done with House of Pleasure. Having succeeded in revealing the bohemian lifestyles of past artists, she explores the area of illegal forced prostitution by minors. Setting the stage in historical New Orleans is a fine setting for a house of ill dispute, masterfully telling of a possible scenario. It is what the title calls for and like her previous series Gastien, this story leaves us with eager desperation for the remaining books in the series. A story well told, is a story worth telling. Well done.
