1   (11.5 fl. Oz.) Welch’s apple, grape cherry, fruit juice cocktail, frozen

The night before, using a Jell-O mold, pour Hawaiian Punch into a mold and freeze, if you don’t have a mold, use a plastic container that can be frozen. Freeze overnight.

The next day, day you will drink the punch, in a punch bowl add, still frozen lemonade & fruit punch, then add a bit of Hawaiian punch, mix to incorporate

Add the remaining Hawaiian punch and all of the ginger ale.

Now carefully place the frozen ring into the punch.

Scoop small spoonful’s of the sorbet, as much or as little as you like.  Mix to combine

Serve immediately.

This is my mother’s recipe for punch.  This is the best I have ever had.  I hope you enjoy it too!!  Happy holidays!!!

Pigs In a Blanket

PIGS IN A BLANKET

YOU WILL NEED:

I box puffed pastry sheets, (be sure you get sheets not cups)

2 packages mini wieners, or mini sausages (Hillshire Farms carries both, plus cheese filled, use what you like or mix one of each to make 2 packages)

Optional: toasted sesame seeds and/or poppy seeds

DIRECTIONS:

Defrost the pastry sheets, leave out on counter check after 1 hour, may take longer due to temp in house.

When defrosted open pack & cut the 2 sheets into 3 where it is folded, you will now have 6 sheets, now count the mini wieners or sausages and figure out how many puff pastry strips you need to cut.  Cut into the strips.

Wrap the wieners in pastry and place on a foil lined cookie sheet that has been sprayed with cooking spray.  You may choose to use 2 sheets, you want to leave space in between the wieners so they have room for pastry to puff.

OPTIONAL:  once all the pastry wrapped sausages are on the sheet, spray lightly with cooking spray and add sesame seeds and poppy seeds.

Bake per directions on your puff sheets, I usually do 400 degrees 15 minutes, check them for golden brown & add 5 minutes to finish.  But be sure to check bottom & top for golden brown.  Remove from oven, place on a serving dish and serve warm.

You can serve with BBQ sauce, Ketchup, Mustard or you favorite hotdog condiments.

The fancy pigs are a kicked up version of the croissant wrapped hot dogs.  Adults and kids alike will love them.
