I like the idea of this book, bringing together some of the top pulp and comics heroes of the 1930s and 40s. I find it odd that they aren't named anywhere up front, nor is any background given as to who these characters are. Okay, maybe nearly every comics reader knows Batman by sight, and many readers might recognize The Spirit, but it's been a while since Doc Savage was in a DC Comic.
