“Drawing Beautiful Women” Kickstarter stretch goal pin-up – Ivy Doomkitty!

Well, gang. It’s has been a crazy year. Lot of ups and downs. As I sit here in my art studio pondering of what I’ve accomplished over 2013 and what I’m about to accomplish in 2014, I realize that I really need to get off my butt and manage my time better and be more productive.

The upcoming 2014 year is shaping up to be a very exciting year for me. It’s the first year where majority of my work will be non-Marvel work. I’m still under exclusive Marvel contract but my contract is coming to an end soon, once I finish one more mini-series for them. Watch for a major news down the line from Marvel. (Hopefully.)

Two major projects that I’m excited over are also two creator-own projects that are launching in 2014. The first is the “Drawing Beautiful Women: The Frank Cho Method”, my first venture into the exciting world of Kickstarter. We’re in the final 5 days of the drive. So if you want to pre-buy a copy, please do so now. This Kickstarter project is ending this Friday. Also to end this Kickstarter project with an bang, one of the last stretch goal for this project is the exclusive nude art print of the lovely and bodacious Ivy Doomkitty. (See rough prelim above.)

The second project is the secret project that I’m doing with my buddy and famed novelist, Tom Sniegoski. The first introductory book is already written and I’m in process of illustrating it. It’ll be one of the first truly hybrid novel/comic book where words and pictures will flow together perfectly. And we’re both excited about this. (Here’s a sneak peek of one of the art panels from the book.) We’re hoping to have it completed by spring/summer.

I have few more projects in line but for now these two projects will be the first two out of the gate in 2014. Very exciting. The new year can’t come fast enough.
