That priority list.

So the summer holidays are making things tricky.  Instead of throwing myself into a story that I’m excited about, I find myself making motorbikes out of cardboard boxes , dealing with post school comedown tantrums, and planning what feels like the birthday of the year.

It’s a tad frustrating, with no actual deadline, except the one I’ve made myself (so if I’ve made it, I can move it without  suffering any repercussions except my own disappointment…which should technically be enough but isn’t!), writing Social Status is put last on the long list of “things to do”. Suddenly there are a million excuses to use when you’re leaning towards a bit of procrastination.

I HATE that.

That’s the problem with being self-employed.  Right after the kids, you put the paid stuff first, and put your dreams last.

BUT I shouldn’t do that should I? Recently one of my favourite twitter ladies, the amazing author Mel Sherratt has just signed THIS amazing deal with Amazon Publishing.

If you don’t know about Mel, you need to, her books are AMAZING, her determination and drive is fantastic, and this latest development in her career has just reminded me that it takes time and you just need to keep plugging away, just be patient.

Well done Mel!

You can read about Mel on her website here.

P.S. Gosh, I use the word amazing a lot when I’m enthusiastic!
