is it possible for people to have more than one soul mate?

I think it’s possible for people to fall into love with more than one person. But I think that there is only one soulmate for a person. I think there is only one true kind of love. That all the infatuation that comes before this one was just a practice run. A beginners course on what you may expect when it’s time to take on the real thing. I guess some people don’t find their soulmate though. Only sometimes, most of the time. I sometimes think that it’s because the person stops looking, and or settles for the next best thing. The next best thing that is more comfortable than loneliness. But I don’t see anything wrong with that. I would just rather end up being alone than to be with someone that I cannot feel connected with. And I mean really connected with. Everyone has a different perspective on love though. So what I feel about love, some may feel completely different.
