Smutty Advent, Day 22

Benji checked on the twins, then on Carrie, who wasn't in her bed. Frowning, he went back to bed, double checking that she hadn't climbed in without him noticing, but Will was on his own, so he went to go downstairs, nearly tripping over his sweet girl. She was sitting on the stairs, clutching her baby doll tight to her chest, fast asleep. Waiting up for Santa. God, that was the cutest thing he'd ever seen.

He managed to pick her up without waking her, and carried her back to her bed, setting her down and pulling the covers over her.

He took last look before he went back to bed, back to his husband to be, saying a little prayer of thanks to whoever it was who looked out for mannies who just wanted a family of their own.

“Everything okay?” Will asked.

Ben smiled, but his eyes looked a little wet. "Yeah, the girls are fast asleep."

“That’s good, right? We still have presents to put out.”

"It's good. I didn't mean to wake you -- you looked so peaceful sleeping there."

“Mmm.” Will wrapped around him, holding close. “Love.”

Ben smiled at him, peace and happiness on his face. "Love you, Will."

“Mmhmm. Love. Sleep. Santa.”

"Yes, boss."

Will chuckled and held on.
