Why I Write?

I have been asked many times - "why do you love to write?"

This question can be provided with a multidimensional answer because I write about a number of things. Some things I've shared publicly (e.g. poetry, song lyrics & various subjects on motorsports) and other things were my private thoughts written in a journal. I believe that writing has provided me with an outlet to encourage, heal, hone these skills and motivate others. It has also given me the courage to share a part of me - meaning I am no longer that shy person who was much of a recluse growing up.

Granted, I took a few years off from writing due to my hectic schedule of being a mom, working full-time, volunteering, serving in the military and etc - you get the picture. It was about four years ago when I got back to writing more frequently and making that decision began to open up some major doors for me especially in the world of racing. The journey took me from contributing to Racer's Reunion then contributing, editing and becoming a media representative for Skirts & Scuffs for a little over three years. Now, I have the opportunity of a lifetime working for Mike Calinoff Management.

Once again ... why do I love to write? Because it gives me the freedom to share my thoughts on a diversity of subject matters. Do I expect everybody to agree with my train of thought? Of course not but it gives him/her the opportunity to understand and get to know me through my works.

I've been able to become a published author of three books, two of which are self-published, over the past two years. I'm currently working on a fiction book as well as a inspirational book. Stay tuned!

If I were to sum that question up with a short answer, it would be "I love to write because it is a gift from God that I want to share with the world."
