What awful luck I've had, Mitch. I live in Romeo, Michigan, so thought attending one of your book signing events would be easy. But, beginning with your event at Barnes and Noble on Hall Road, something unexpected prevented my attendance every time.
First, my dentist put awful-looking gunk on my teeth and said I couldn't brush until the next morning. So I thought I'd catch you at another event. The day of that event, at Art Van Furniture in Warren, I had to attend an old friend's funeral, instead. Then (or was it before that?) I missed your event in Rochester Hills because 32 Mile Road, which I had to take to get there, was too dark for me to drive safely, and my husband had to work that evening so couldn't drive me. But he could drive me the evening you were in Roseville, but I was sick, a reaction to forgetting to take my meds. Finally, I meant to see you at Costco last weekend but, the most common excuse in the world: I forgot.
You said on the radio that your event in Coldwater is your last. Really? I don't get another chance?
