Smutty Advent, Day 19

Burke caught himself humming again. He couldn't helpit, though. It was their first Christmas with their boy and everything seemed a little brighter, a little cheerier than other years. In all the time they'd known Mal, they'd never shared the holiday - Mal had been working, letting the guys with family have Christmas off. This year Mal had a family.

This year Mal had them.

Mal was throwing tinsel on the tree and Dar was in the kitchen, making them some sort of fancy Christmas cocktail.

"That's not how you do it," he told Mal, coming up behind his boy.

“Bullshit.” Mal leaned back against him.

"No, it's true." He wrapped his arms around Mal, leaned his chin on his lover's shoulder. "You put them on one at a time."

“No way.” Mal sounded utterly disbelieving.

"Yes, way." He leaned over Mal and grabbed a handful of tinsel from the tree and began laying it on each branch, about five per branch, one at a time. "See?"

“Uh-huh.” Mal tossed another handful.

"You're asking for a spanking."

He could feel Mal tense, then another handful was thrown.

"Oh-ho!" He laughed, tickled right through.

Darby came out with a tray of festive looking cocktails. "Oh-ho?"

"Yep. Our boy wants his hide tanned but good."

“He’s criticizing my decorating technique.”

Dar watched for a minute, then opined, "That's because you're doing it wrong, Mal."

Mal looked at Dar, lips pursing. “You’re totally fired, man.”

Dar laughed. "If I promise to spank you harder than Key does, will you forgive me?"

"You can't spank harder than me," Burke protested. His hands were just a bit bigger than Dar's.

Mal rolled his eyes and very deliberately sprinkled them both with the tinsel before going to sit down.

"Oh, I get first dibs," said Dar, stalking over to the couch.

"Cool -- you get him nice and red, I'll apply the tinsel." He gave Mal his best wicked grin. Merry fucking Christmas to them.

Burke, Darby and Mal are from Totally Covered and are totally demanding that I write their beginning.
