It's bittersweet, as "Elfstones" was one of my first introductions into fantasy. Terry's work played a big part in my own process as a fantasy author and I'll never forget that. I'm glad to see him wrap it on his own terms, however, as I think that's a great way for the series to come to an end.

Yes, for me it is also bittersweet. I came across a copy of "The Sword" at a time in my life where I was contemplating not going on. I was a child and was going through things no child should have to go through. I had given up on the world. I felt abandoned by the world. To me friendships did not exist. That book was my savior. When bad things were happening to me I was able to remove myself from this world and I was able to transport myself to that world. I am glad to see him conclude on his own terms yet find myself crying knowing it will occur. I can only hope he does not bring the series to an end in the present time period.
