Puzzle Paper

This is Day 15 of 25 Days of Paper and Day 84 of my 100 x 100 Paper Weavings Project.

I love taking things apart and figuring out how they work. I also enjoy looking at things and deconstructing them in my mind. I destroyed the original design of this paper called Things with Wings by Reminiscence Papers, and there are numerous ways in which I could have put it back together. This intrigues me.

As a child, I thought I would grow up to become an architect. The reverse side of this weaving is pretty interesting.

Have you seen the work of Shigeru Ban, the architect who builds with cardboard? He’s built many emergency shelters utilizing cardboard tubes. Check out these examples:
