A unique and intriguing twist on the escape theme; looking at different prisons across England really lends a realistic element that helps this book stand out. The recon detail seems so realistic; you can’t help but wonder if the authorities have looked into these seemingly obvious escape plans. The downside to this novel is the lack of emotional ties between characters. The whole situation comes from the need to be reunited with wives, yet they then proceed to show little understanding of what real love is. There are also some slight inconsistencies.
This book would be one I would recommend for anyone who is interested in crime genre novels and would rate it a 3/5.
