Finished!

I've finally finished Who Buries the Dead, the tenth book in the Sebastian St. Cyr series. This one has been giving me fits and is technically late in terms of its deadline, although since it won't be published until March 2015, it's actually early (the publishing world is weird). At any rate, it's FINISHED. So now I'm filing papers and cleaning up my office and my house and trying to do all those things I've put off for the last year, except there are so many of them I know I'm never going to get around to even a fraction of them.

And the worst part of it is, it's Christmas time. I haven't done any shopping, or bought a tree, or done any decorating. Much of that is due to the fact that I'm finding it hard to get into the spirit of what is normally one of my favorite times of the year; my older daughter is now living in San Antonio and my younger daughter has been spending that past two weeks in England for the wedding of her half sister. Add in the extent to which all these sick cats have consumed my life, and who has time for Christmas? Maybe this weekend...

Manybooks2read How are the cats? I hope all are recovering.

C.S. Harris Manybooks2read, well, some are better than others. Huck is almost back to his old self, although there is still some lingering concern all those drugs may have damaged his kidneys; Angel is getting used to his tuna-flavored medication (specially compounded by a pharmacy in Arizona!) although he still hates his kidney diet food; Thomasina's tests for cancer and pancreatitis came back negative (thank goodness!) so now SHE is on a special diet (different, of course) and steroids (did I mention she shreds anyone who tries to shove a pill down her throat?) for IBS; Baby has been living with us again the past few weeks while my older daughter was in England for the wedding, and while he's hanging in there, I'm afraid I can see a decline since just a month ago; and the kittens are unfortunately permanently impaired from their bad reaction to whichever vaccine/treatment they reacted to, but are the sweetest little special needs babies you could ever imagine. Life will be at least a little easier once my daughters come home from England and take back their cats (Thomasina, Baby, Loki, and Oden).

Barbara 10 books! 10 books! I have so enjoyed this series and can't get enough. I did't think is as that many books and had to go to FictFact to see how many I've read in the series. Turns out I've read all that are out so far. Think I may need to start over to start the enjoyment all over again.

Congrats on the completion of the latest in the series. Look forward to it.

Thanks so much, Babs. I know it shocks me to realize that there are ten of them!

Heather I'm so excited to catch back up with Sebastian and Hero! I have to admit I was a little apprehensive about her becoming a love interest at first but now I'm team Hero without a doubt!

Jo Ann So excited!! Love the clever and interesting mystery in each and every book, but especially the slow burning love developing between Hero and Sebastian. I can already imagine Hero with her babe in one arm and a pistol in the other as she swoops in to help Sebastian save the day :D

Thank you, Jo Ann. Not long now! For some reason it feels as if this next book has been in production forever.

Lin_P Our house suffers this year as well. . .only cannot claim a completed book. My husband finally agreed to read C.S. Harris. Since I lent all my older copies of your book and never got them back, I've ordered eight used copies for his Christmas after he sheepishly asked if I had more paper copies. Mine are on Kindle.

C.S. Harris Lin, I'm glad to hear he's enjoying them. Have a Merry Christmas!

Lin_P Error. Not eight, but all others except the one paperback I had. And a Merry Christmas to you.
