Riverdale Avenue Books’ Releases The Hunger Gays
The Hunger Gays by Nathan Alexander is a Takeoff of the Blockbuster Movie, The Hunger Games
Riverdale, NY – December 11th, 2013 – With box office receipts in the hundred million dollar range for the blockbuster movie “The Hunger Games,” fans of erotic romance will be anxious to read Nathan Alexander’s interpretation of this popular movie in “The Hunger Gays”, now on sale at Riverdale Avenue Books.
“We expect this title to make the Amazon gay and lesbian best seller list just like our previous pop culture sensation, 50 Shades of Gay,” said publisher Lori Perkins. “I am so pleased that a M/M novel can break through as an homage as part of a pop culture sensation and not be a niche title because both men and women love these books.”
The Hunger Gays explores a world where men are the objectified gender. This allows readers to see what it’s like to be a man, coming of age in a world where women are dominate.
The book ultimately calls into question what defines masculinity, using traditional elements of erotica to explore masculinity, blurring the lines between what separates a man from being straight or gay.
The Hunger Gays forces its participants to choose a position when they enter the competition: top or bottom. The position determines their fighting method. Our main character, Aspen, is 19 years and not entirely sure what he wants. A central struggle of this story is Aspen forcing himself into the role of a bottom because that’s what he thinks he is. Readers will slowly see that Aspen has top tendencies and sports a very dominant personality.
Just because the main character is young doesn’t mean the rest of the cast is. The best part of the Hunger Gays saga is that it opens up the door to different types of gay men- bears, twinks, skinny, fit, silver fox, and husky. Each character participating in the competition will be a unique archetype of the kind of real men you find out in life. There are no cookie cutter types. The Hunger Gays

I am thrilled to have published Ethan Mordden’s Passionate Attention of an Interesting Man. Ethan’s story collections Buddies and Everybody Loves You were books I read while coming out, their distinctive Stonewall Inn Editions logo on the spine announcing “gay fiction!” to anyone in the know.
Passionate Attention is a clever, fun, sexy read featuring a brand new novella and four stories. While not quite erotica, it’s still hot!—or as Ethan describes it, “Every one of the stories deals with the relationship of a dominant and submissive male, the daddy and his ‘boy,’ the top man and the vassal.”
In one of my favorite passages, a character says, “Jutter Flexx was not a porn star. He had done some modeling for Colt, and he did become one of their most exploited figures, with his own calendar. In the gay world, this is like being elected President of France.” How can I not love a brilliant line like that?
