31 Days of #BookLove: Day 9 – FALLEN CREST HIGH by Tijan
Today marks Day 9 of 31 Days of #BookLove. Rather than review all 300 books I’ve read this year, I decided to share one of my favorites each day this month.

Mason and Logan Kade are two brothers who did their own thing. They were rich and expected to attend her school, Fallen Crest Academy. They chose public school and now Samantha has to live with them. The problem is that she doesn’t care at all: about them, about her friends, about her cheating boyfriend, or even about her parent’s divorce. But maybe that’s a good thing. Maybe change is a good thing.
What I Liked:
The FALLEN CREST series was my second favorite this year (behind another Tijan series that I’ll be sharing this month). Samantha is a badass character. She’s tough, sometimes snarly, untrusting, and has a lot of faults – but she also has a needy center that is just longing to be accepted and loved by someone without conditions. Her mom is a horror. Her stepdad gives her up with nary a word. Her boyfriend is cheating with one of her best friends. Surrounded by so much betrayal, you’d expect her to give up and curl into a little ball. Instead, she copes the best she cans. And Mason and Logan Kade. Meep! They are so, so hot. Especially Mason. I loved the development of the relationships in this book, and the romantic tension is stretched to its max. All of the characters have a hard edge to them, though, so don’t expect a touchy-feely emo romance. This series is high on the angst and tension.
BONUS: I loved Fallen Crest Family as much as Fallen Crest High. And you’d better believe that I’ve already preordered my copy of Fallen Crest Public. On December 30, don’t bother calling me because I’ll be reading.
