Ode to My Readers…

Just a little something to my readers answering some expectations…Enjoy:

Oh my VP pit crew
I know you wish time flew
A finished Crashed for Christmas
I’m sorry, I just can’t do
 
I know you’re gonna be
A teensy tinsy miffed
And hmm and haw and moan
At my lack of this gift
 
So don’t wait around on Christmas Eve
For an unexpected gift
The last thing I want is to deceive
But I just can’t write that swift
 
And as much as I’d love to
It’s something I just can’t do
For others to say different
Oh no, it’s just not true
 
I know you wanted Colton
Wrapped in a big red bow
A five hundred page completed book
To read so nice and slow
 
Now you know I love you dearly
And would push publish if I could
But let me state this clearly
It just wouldn’t be so good.
 
I want it to be perfect
The wows, the highs, the lows,
But rushing to finish early
Will just disrupt my flow
 
To give is better than to receive
Of this I sure do know
But I want you to believe
I’m not purposefully writing slow.
 
I tried to up my admin’s ante
But I suck at writing prose
Give me Sex and Cotton Candy
Now that shit I can compose.
 
So thanks for being patient
As I write of Ry and crew
I don’t want to be complacent
Until their story’s really through
 
So sorry to burst your bubble
And be a great big Grinch
But know I appreciate you dearly
I say that without a flinch
 
I know you are all eager
You wait with baited breath
The conclusion won’t be meager
Or result in Colton’s death.
 
So thank you once again
For all of your endless support
An epic ending they deserve
Of that I won’t fall short.
 
And so now the countdown begins
The clock it ticks and tocks
You sit on needles and pins
My Facebook page you stalk
 
A date my friends is coming,
And Christmas it is not it.
Your anticipation’s humming,
But right now I’ll give you squat.
 
There’s only one last thing to say,
I’ve thought this through and through
On my mind heavily it weighs,
That you know how much I RACE YOU TOO!
