One Good Thing Every Day: December 5, 2013

Genesis 28:16 NIV

When Jacob awoke from his sleep, he thought, “Surely the Lord is in this place, and I was not aware of it.”

As I read this verse, I think about the moments when my hard-headedness has made resting on a stone seem as soft as sleeping on a pillow.  Like Jacob, I have woken from my self-deception and realized God’s Presence in every situation. He shows me how living for Him connects earth to heaven. I may sleepwalk through my days and be unaware of Him at times, but He proves He is always with me and eager to show me His ways!
