Vampires vs. Werewolves

If the worlds of horror and fantasy collided who do you think would win in a grudge match between Vampires and Werewolves?

Mary Woldering It depends on what sort of Werewolf and what sort of Vampire. If we are talking about the standard Hollywood fare I'd say the Vampire would win, because the vampire is in control of his/her own shape changing. The Werewolf is subject to the phases of day and night or phases of the moon.

Dave Rudden here is wee the debate can get interesting. Since silver is the only thing that can hurt a werewolf but it also hurts a vampire, how can a vampire actually kill a werewolf in any form?

Mary Woldering I need to bone up on my folklore. I knew garlic, holy water and the crucifix affect vampires, but not silver. I knew (actually I had to think about it for a minute) that silver affects were-animals. I actually have a kind of werewolf in a novel series I'm writing, but this person is not a victim of circumstance or curse. I'm using a Wepwawet spirit which isn't warded off by silver.Children of Stone: Voices in Crystal
