Bridget Allison, author of Maid for Mayhem, Maid in the Shade

Well I am awfully glad to have Maid in the Shade out. I have to confess I was finished with it long before I uploaded it. I won't do that on the third. Although #3, Maid in Waiting certainly starts with a bang you will find more of the humor you enjoyed in the first book in the Maid for Murder series. Although it is a series I do not want to make it very predictable and of course I'm Southern and Irish so we can find humor in the bleakest events.

Above me there on this page you'll see my husband's foot and a squirrel I rehabbed. "Kiddo" was almost dead when we got her, ten days later she was ready to go. I've raised animals from the "pink and blind" stages who weren't as attached to us as Kiddo has become.  I started putting food out for her now and again at one point when she lost most of her tail to a fox. She lost her boyfriend too (men). Now it has grown back, a little crooked but she has a fellow again.  It probably doesn't hurt that we continue to leave a few nuts at the front door.
