March Madness

I started March with 8″ of snow in the NC mountains. My Labs, Hana & Saba, were thrilled. It takes so little to make them happy. I wrote in between playing in the snow with the boys. By week’s end, I had two articles for submission. A dog story, about none other than Hana & Saba, for the Chicken Soup book series. The topic is What I Learned from the Dog. Sounds like it could take forever to hear from them, but I’ve got time. The other is a horse story about the filly foal that taught me about my animal communication skills in 1993. This has been submitted to a magazine in Asheville, NC for their July issue.

Now that I’ve accomplished this I’m free to start working on the first of the animal stories books. I’ve been blessed with so many experiences that need to be shared so everyone can be privy to what I’ve learned from the animals. Sixteen years after opening to this new part of my life, I’m still amazed at what I do. I truly love the work.

I love writing as well. I especially love hearing from people who have been helped by my book Letting Go. I got an amazing email “letter” from a gal in Miami that shared with me the significance my book has made to her life. It’s very humbling and gratifying to read such a letter. It motivates me to keep writing and sharing.

I'm sitting in the gloomy, rainy, fog on the Ides of March getting ready to start writing the animal stories. Hana & Saba are under the desk sleeping; bored to death...
