Reintroducing...
This is officially my first post as a published Goodreads author! AHHH!! Will this ever stop being so exciting? Do I want it to?
No.
Change of Fortune dropped on the first, and I nearly forgot about it. Why? Well, because I am a giant nerd and was too excited to go to the Dickens fair that same day. Costume-creating, penny-pinching, map-memorizingly excited. AND IT WAS AMAZING, SO.
We're definitely going again next year, and hopefully by then I'll have had the chance to get better at this book launching thing.
Until then, I have many plans for this space, and a few too many story ideas due in way too small a time frame. My life has changed so much this year, more so I think than any year in the past decade. Change and I never used to get along--why would we, when Routine and I got on so well together? Not every change was good at the time, but if they all together brought me here I don't regret any of them.
I understand that a lot of writers don't intend to put all those underlying themes and mindblowing allegories or meaningful symbols into their work. I also understand a lot of writers simply write what they want to read (myself included). So maybe it's no coincidence that my first story is about a year full of changes. It certainly helped bring about mine.
