   Short, concise, and sweet. Probably one of the most realistic and succinct writing tips I've heard in quite a while. Bravo!

     I agree, great advice. Scenes are powerful and if you write enough scenes you can even go back and shuffle them into different order and come up with a unique story.

 This matches my thoughts too. Focus on writing on chapter at a time, and eventually you get a novel. Once you read enough you will naturally fall into a decent structure anyway. I summed up some thoughts after writing my first book here:
