You are the only person
that I have ever wanted to
create constellations with;
using only our skin as the map.
The freckles on your back
help me find my way home,
and I am not sure if the clusters
of scars and birthmarks on my body
allow you to feel the kind of safety
that I feel when my fingers
are searching for fallen stars
in the creases of your worn out limbs.
But I hope they at least show you
the way back to me; always guiding
you to the place that we call home.
The place that only you and I
are able to discover; the place where we
realized that there were galaxies
just underneath the surface of our skin.
