This book kept coming up on my Goodreads friends’ favorites lists. The back book blurb was intriguing. The opening setup was attention-catching. Lots of inner conflict for the MC who was into the club scene.

Then—okay, I won’t say anything else except the conflict didn’t stay ratcheted that high after the 1/4 quarter of the book. The book hit all the marks for a complete story. No plot holes or hanging threads. Maybe I’m just a drama queen, but the revelations were life changing and I just couldn’t latch onto the emotional aspects of the transformation.
