Signing and Reading
I will be giving a reading and a signing for both The DD Group and Life Among the Cannibals at 7PM on August 5th at the Union Square Borders in San Francisco. If anyone is interested and in town, I would love to see you. I'll be following the reading with a discussion of the various Monroe books in print.

Thank you big time to all who were able to attend my reading (and all the complete strangers who showed up!) and all of the folks who were unable to be there but supported me in spirit. A truly memorable night. I held a discussion that lasted about an hour and read for about 45 minutes covering six or seven passages from the book -- to a great reception. And I sold books too! I think I could get used to this stuff...

My second book, Life Among the Cannibals: The Life and Times of Marilyn Monroe 1962-2003 is now back in print and after some editing and rearranging for a better read, is available at most online booksellers. The premise is the same as the first edition: covering the 40 years following Marilyn's overdose, detailing what projects she became involved in, people she became friends with, and reacting to the tumultuous 60s, the Kennedy rumors, and authors such as Kitty Kelly and Robert Slatzer. Did she remarry? Did she ever have children? Did she earn the respect of Hollywood? Written as a straightforward biography, Life Among the Cannibals provides a life that could and should have been the amazing icon's.
