Slouched in the passenger’s seat of their car, staring out into the darkness beyond the narrow beams of the headlights, Roan couldn’t decide if he should be excited or annoyed. He did like surprises, but Ishaan had been so vague and unhelpful when it came to packing, he was just sure they’d get where they were going and he wouldn’t have half of what he needed.
