"I cannot tell you exactly when
my love started to disintegrate for you.
There were so many..."

I cannot tell you exactly when

my love started to disintegrate for you.

There were so many times

that when you and I were together

that I thought that maybe chasing after you

was one of the first mistakes that I

have ever committed while being

in your company.

But these are mistakes that I cannot

take back, and these times

are no longer made for people like us.

People who ask for love so much

that all we receive in return

are mislead feelings and overused judgments.

Just because someone tells you

that they love you doesn’t mean

that you are going to be the one person

that they give it all up to.

They should have told you that from the start.

They should have told you

that when your heart starts to realize

that it no longer wants to spend its time

being by itself, that’s when you need to

prepare yourself for the loneliest times

that your heart will ever go through.

But sooner or later your heart will

tear down the walls of solitude,

and you will feel love once again

for people that you would have

never known that you could create

bliss with.

So just because my eyes

can no longer see what I once saw in you,

doesn’t mean that you are going to

end up trapped inside of your own

melancholy thoughts.

- I’m just as lost as you are," - Colleen Brown
