“No bug-eyed monsters!” Sydney Newman Makes It Clear

Danny_Weasel is a writer at Kasterborous Doctor Who News and Reviews - All the latest Doctor Who news and reviews with our weekly podKast, features and interviews, and a long-running forum.

We are now a mere four days away from the big one, but even more tantalizingly, we are only two away from what is shaping up to be a spectacular equal to that of the multi doctor event at the weekend.

We have now been gifted with a second trailer for An Adventure in Space and Time the Mark Gatiss drama that chronicles the birth and rise of Doctor Who and the people who built it. Though technically its more a clip than a trailer, it shows us just how amazing a job has been done in the recreation of not only a very authentic 60′s looking BBC, but what seems to be a note perfect Sydney Newman from the former Elder Ood, Brian Cox and equally stunning Verity Lambert from Jessica Raine.

Based on the quality of this clip and the attention to detail we have seen in the first trailer and the reactions from the BFI screening, it seems safe to say that this will be everything we could hope for and more.

So what did you think of it, has Cox sold himself as a Canadian to you? Did the period detailing blow your mind? Or maybe you still have reservations about the whole thing. Messages below, as usual, will be much read and opined upon.
