Editing Blues

I am buried in the final stages of this first round of editing for my September 2014 book, Inamorata, but I did manage to find some time this past weekend to do two very special events.

The first was for Seattle7Writers--a nonprofit group whose events help fund literacy programs. This year's holiday booksigning was a lot of fun, and I met many new and interesting people--and hey, all you interesting people I met: please forgive that my brain is a little less than brilliant lately. Nothing is so exhausting as keeping what's been written, what needs to be written, and what's been revised in your head all at the same time.

Here's a picture from that event:

And secondly, I attended the 90th birthday party of my very astonishing and inspirational step-grandmother. Here are two pictures from that event, where I'm photographed with some people who are very special to me:
Nita's 90th 1

Nita's 90th 2
From left to right: my sister Amy, and me

That will have to suffice for now. I'm heading back into the dark and lonely writing cave.
