Special Guest: A.E. Via
Hello my lovelies,
I have a special guest for you today. This lovely lady is one of the latest additions to the circle of my Facebook friends and she's here today to tell us a bit about herself and, of course, her fantastic new book Blue Moon. Please give a warm welcome to the gorgeous A.E. Via and don't forget to check out the invitation to her party - I'm going!
The business ones
Please give us a short introduction about yourself
I’m a brand new author, Blue Moon is my first novel ever written. I live in Virginia Beach, VA with my husband and four children, youngest is five and my oldest is eighteen. I’m a homebody. I prefer to stay home in the peace and quiet in front of a cosy fire and read or write rather than go to a loud club.
What genre(s) do you write in and why?
I’m a new author to the beautiful M/M genre, but far from a new fan. I’ve been reading M/M romance for over eight years. I’ve been hooked from my first book. I can’t really explain why I find gay romance so beautiful..some things just are.
Tell us about your latest release
Blue Moon – Too Good To Be True is the first instalment in a two part series...and my very first novel. It’s about a very popular, erotically gorgeous gay club owner named Angel DeLucca who falls for a straight fire-fighter, Maximus Strong. Angel is tired of the one night stands and has to get Max to believe that he’s a changed one-man man.
Max is straight always has been, but one look at Angel and a whiff of the man’s long jet black tresses and Max questions what he’s know to be true of himself for his thirty plus years. Max’s older, very protective brother Ryker is gay and Max turns to him for guidance...as usual.
Ryker has always been his brother’s guide since they were kids growing up in a broken/dysfunctional home, which left Ryker alone to deal with his own life’s problems. Ryker desperately craves someone to love and protect him... Ryker craves a master.
Retired Ex Special Forces Army Ranger, Sebastian Bagettelli is Angel’s Chief of Security for his club. When Max makes a visit to Angel’s club he brings along his brother Ryker and Bass spots the submissive within Ryker right away. He just has to get Ryker to be open and trust the big sexy Master Dom.
These men go through several obstacles to get to their HEA and with all the thought provoking twist and turns; I think I’ve made it a pretty entertaining ride.
Do you need a special setting to write in or do you have a ceremony to get you in the mood? What does it look like?
No, I can pretty much grab my laptop and write anywhere. Ie. Starbucks, a lounge during happy hour, B&N cafe, a park, food court in the mall, I can even write in my living room with my kids running around doing all the annoying things they do, while my husband plays Grand Theft Auto 5. I am really good at zoning out and going into my own private gay fantasy world within my mind...it’s so lovely there.
Describe your feelings when you learnt that your first book was accepted for publication.
Well, my book was initially rejected by two publishers back-to-back and I was devastated. I thought I’d written a great story, but when I got those two rejections...I figured...maybe I don’t have what it takes. So when I was thinking of not trying anymore, I did a double submission to two other publishers one being one of the largest publisher of M/M romance (I know...bad girl on the double submit, but I was desperate) and I was shocked when they both sent a contract. I cried actually. I chose the one I thought would be the most patient with a new author, so I chose Amira Press. Bigger doesn’t always mean better.
Has the release of your first book changed anything in your personal life? If so, what?
*laughs out loud* Yeah, big time. My family didn’t know of my fascination with the M/M genre, only my husband and my mother knew. Everyone else (my dad, friend, siblings, my oldest kid) wants to know how I can describe the gay scenes in such detail. I’ve been asked some very interesting questions; by my sisters especially...like am I gay? Did I used to experiment a little with homosexuality? Have I ever been with a gay man? Would I sleep with a bisexual man? Would I sleep with a woman? Do I watch a lot of gay porn? Yada, yada, yada. It’s been pretty entertaining at the Sunday family dinners lately.
Where do you find inspiration?
My inspiration comes from any and everything. When I’m out and I see a pretty sunset, or if I hear a kick-ass song on the radio, it can all get my creative juices flowing. Mostly, I’m inspired by all the other fabulous women that write in this fascinating genre.
Who is your favourite character and why?
My favourite character is Angel of course. I call him my dark prince. I had Angel in my head every since my first fictional writing class in college. His jet black, long hair. The smoky eyes and dark growly voice...it still gives me goose bumps when I picture his face in my mind. *sighs*
A favourite line from one of your books
Probably from my next book that’s a M/M/M ménage and is currently in the very capable hands of Amira Press right now. It’s entitled You Can See Me. My favourite line is by the character Blair McKenzie who is a hot gay escort that fell in love with his client and is fighting for the right to claim the main MC in this story. He’s speaking to his competition.
“If you don’t pull your head out of your ass and claim Prescott Vaughan like he wants, I won’t stop until I’ve fucked the sexy strawberry ten ways to Sunday and there’s not a single trace of your existence left in his mind, because with or without you he needs love and I was the one there last night to lick his sweet tears when you walked away.”
Your favourite drink and food when writing:
Usually, Vanilla Biscotti flavoured coffee, with lots of Pumpkin Spiced cream and sugar. It helps the most with the long nights. If it’s the weekend and I don’t have to get up early, I may have a couple glasses of wine.
The nosy ones
How much of the real “you” is in your stories?
*laughing* Uhhh, not very much ...obviously. However, my husband is wonderfully chivalrous; some of the scenes with the sensitive romantic language came straight from my husband’s lips.
Have you ever had a crush on a fictional character? Who was it?
I had a crush on King Triton in the Little Mermaid forever. No really, ummm, nothing comes to my mind.
What’s the silliest error in a book you’ve submitted?
I wish I could call this error a one-time simple mix up...or a brain fart, however, since I did it three times in the same book. I felt extremely silly.
When I was describing weather scenes and how the character was cold. I was using the word chilli as the adjective. The editor made the correction three times saying in the comment box: ‘The correct spelling is ‘chilly’ for weather; ‘chilli’ is the soup you eat.”
I must’ve said “wow, really” a million times that day, every time I thought about it. By far silliest error I’ve ever made.
Who is your least favourite of the characters you’ve written? Why?
My least favourite character to write was the ball-busting vixen Vikki that I put in my next novel You Can See Me. She gave a new meaning to the word b**ch. She was so cruel and mean, that I found myself re-editing her over and over, thinking someone couldn’t be that evil. The end result was still a wicked, immoral, bat-shit crazy broad, and I still hate her now. When you meet her, you’ll understand.
The steamiest scene from your books
There are quite a few but probably the hottest would be Angel and Max’s shower scene. (She's actually treating us to the scene! Yay! ~S)
* * * ADULT CONTENT * * *
When Max stepped into the shower Angel was already soaping his strong body. Angel’s hair was loose and hanging down his back. Max stopped bathing and stared at Angel as he dipped his head back and wet his silky mane. Max stepped into Angel’s space and traced down his neck to the well-defined chest muscles, then dropped to his knees. Angel looked down at Max and into those beautiful gray eyes staring up at him.
“I love you,” Angel whispered.
“I love you, more.” Max’s hot mouth was on Angel’s cock before he could protest.
“Ohhh…fuuckkk,” Angel gasped as he let his man work him over. Damn, he’s getting fucking good at this. “Fuck yeah, darlin’…just like that…uuuhhh…take me deep, love.” Angel had to brace himself on Max’s big shoulders, because his knees were getting weak. “Ohhh…I’m gonna come baby…yes, yes, yes.” He thrust deeper into Max’s mouth. He brought his wet hands up to stroke over his own chest, stopping briefly to pinch both erect nipples. The stinging sensation pinged down his spine, making him arch his back. He clung to the edge ready for Max to take him over, then Max’s hot mouth was gone.
“No baby…please, I’m so close,” Angel begged.
“I want you to come when I’m buried balls deep in your ass.” Max turned Angel around, propped one of Angel’s legs up on the edge of the tub, and smeared the lube on his hole. Angel rocked back into his touch, trying desperately to get those fingers inside of him. His body was on fire and his balls were pulled up tight. He knew as soon as Max entered him he was going to explode…and he couldn’t wait. He wanted to show his man just how hot he was for him. Watching Max break that boy’s nose was fucking hot. His man was not going to stand for him being disrespected, and Angel was proud to be with him.
“Max…please…fuck me now!” Angel yelled. His face was pressed against the cool tile, his brow creased with frustration. Max was taking too long.
“Getting a little impatient, aren’t we?” Max slowly pushed one finger into Angel’s hot hole. Angel immediately tried to get more inside of him. “Mmmm, my anxious little slut. You want my big cock in your ass now.” Angel knew Max liked to talk dirty, but even more Max liked to torment Angel and make him beg.
“You fucker,” Angel growled trying to push back some more, but Max withdrew his finger and begin massaging Angel’s rim again. “Max goddammit! Fuck me now or I’m gonna flip you around and slam my hard dick into you until I come!” After all the adrenaline from the fight and the gunfire Angel needed to be claimed and fucked hard by his man.
Max put his hand in the center of Angel’s back and pushed him back hard against the shower wall. “Stay the fuck there…I’ll give you my cock when I’m damn good and ready,” Max growled harshly in his ear, his grip like steel on Angel’s hips. Max took two fingers and pushed them both in Angel’s ass, making him cry out from the burn.
“Fuck yes! That’s it…fucking give it to me hard.” Angel knew he sounded like a wanton slut, but he would be a slut all his life for this firefighting God. Angel felt Max’s warm breath on his cheek. Max gently moved Angel’s mane over his shoulder. Angel loved the way Max handled his hair—always gently and affectionately. Because of its length men had wanted to pull it all the time and Angel loved that Max never did that. They liked to play rough…a lot, but Max never yanked his hair.
Angel’s eyes were already losing vision when he felt the thick head of Max’s cock at his hole and his breath caught in his chest. Max breeched his outer ring and Angel welcomed the fire in his ass. Max made him feel so alive. Angel had rarely bottomed with other men, but with Max it came naturally. The man was able to make Angel fly from just touching him, but when he fucked him he took him to another dimension.
Max spread his legs and pushed into Angel in one long, smooth stroke. “Fuck. Shit. Damn. Angel baby…Fuck…So fucking hot…Shit!” Max couldn’t form intelligent sentences whenever he and Angel came together like this.
“Ohh…gawwd…Max…my love…fuck me good…fuck me hard. Claim me.” Angel braced himself on the wall and let his man take over his body. Max thrust into Angel’s snug channel relentlessly, over and over until he gave Angel everything that he begged for. Angel’s eyes rolled to the back of his head and his back arched as he shouted out Max’s name. The first jet of come that hit the shower wall made Angel jerk violently in Max’s grip. Angel never even touched his dick, but the come wouldn’t stop pumping out of him. Max hips were strong and unforgiving as he piston-fucked Angel through his orgasm. His forehead rested on the back of Angel’s neck as his grip tightened, preparing for his own orgasm which was coming on fast.
Max didn’t stop thrusting, it was as if Angel was the purest cocaine and Max was an addict. He yelled out obscenities as his orgasm rocketed, filling Angel with wave after wave of his seed.
He put his arms underneath Angel’s and pulled him in close to his chest, his breathing still erratic. “I love you so much, Angel, you are my world,” he whispered sensually against Angel’s cheek. “When I first saw you, I knew right then that I wanted you to be mine.” Max kissed Angel’s cheek and licked the water cascading down his neck, sucking the gentle flesh along his collarbone.
“Fuuuuuck, Maximus.” Angel moaned low in his throat.
Max’s spent cock slipped out of Angel. He turned Angel around and wrapped him in his arms and held him tight…damn the cooling water. “I know baby. It’s okay.” Max laid soft kisses on his mouth, as he let Angel release all the emotions he was feeling.
Favourite comfort food?
Spinach artichoke dip, or fresh from the bakery, warm Pandesal (a Pilipino yeast roll) with cinnamon butter.

My mother, she’s my best friend. She gets a special dedication inside every book I write. She is by far one of the toughest women I’ve ever met. A single mom that worked three jobs, while raising six children and still somehow managed to smother us with so much love and affection every day. We never saw drugs, alcohol, slum living conditions, various men. She did it all on her own. I wouldn’t be who I am, or the mother that I am, if it wasn’t for her. There are no words to describe how I feel about her. When it came time to move out and be with my husband, I couldn’t bare the separation...we bought the house next door. *smiling*

Book blurb:
Angel DeLucca is one of the most sought after gay bachelors in Virginia Beach. He's smart successful, lethal, and more than anything he's drop
dead gorgeous. Angel has his pick of the men that come to his popular Oceanfront night club, but lately the one night stands haven't been enough...Angel craves something deeper. When a one night hook-up goes terribly wrong, Angel comes into contact with the breathtaking Maximus (Max) Strong.
Max is a firefighter for the Virginia Beach Fire Department. Max is beautiful, charming, and also very straight. One meeting with the mysteriously, sexy Angel DeLucca and a whiff of that silky, jet black hair, Max finds himself questioning everything he's known to be true about himself. Max tries desperately to understand the new feelings he has for another man and turns to his gay, older brother...Ryker.
Ryker has always been Max's protector and his guide their entire lives, which has left him feeling uncared for and alone to handle his own life's problems. Ryker craves to be taken care of, he craves the attention and praise of a Master. No one knows the dark desires within him until Angel's Chief of Security, Sebastian 'Bass' Bagatelli, shatters that secret with their first intense encounter.
How will Angel win the heart of the straight firefighter that was tailor-made just for him? Will Max be able to continue denying his feelings for another man? Can Ryker and Bass get through their personal issues to take and receive what they both need from each other? Or will they each give up on a happiness that appears too good to be true?
These men's stories will unravel in a whirlwind of romance, bdsm, revelations, lots of action and very hot sex, co-starring very entertaining supporting characters.

About the author:
A.E. Via graduated in May of 2008 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from Virginia Wesleyan College.
She's a new author to the beautiful gay erotic genre. Her writing embodies everything from spicy to scandalous. Her stories often include intriguing edges and twists that take readers to new, thought-provoking depths.
When she’s not clicking away at her laptop, A.E. runs a very successful paralegal-for-hire business and in her spare time, she devotes herself to her family – a husband and four children – her two pets, a Maltese dog and her white Siamese cat, ELynn, named after the late great gay romance author ELynn Harris. While Blue Moon is her first novel, she has plenty more to come...so sit back and grab a cool drink, because the male on male action is just heating up! Go to A.E.
