The Fault In Our Stars touched me so much, I felt a deep connection with Hazel and Augustus. I am fortunate that My life has never been turmoiled by cancer, but I can understand how it feels to be out of control, and mentally unable to fathom life. "My thoughts are stars I can't fathom into constellations."
I would like to ask you how you managed to put yourself in the position of Hazel Grace Lancaster when writing this TFIOS. It really puzzles me as to how it is possible for a man beyond his teenage years (not meant to offend here!) to act as someone so different. I just find it astonishing how one could immerse themselves in the pretence of being another so flawlessly.
I understand if you do not have the time to reply to this, but if you do it would be much appreciated, because I am desperate understand this!
Thank you very much! (This is the message I was referring to!)
