NaNoWriMo day 11 Part Two – 37133 Words (74%) – Abomination Teaser
My hair was braided in a circlet atop my head, coiled around my ears with four loose curls falling on either side of my face. I looked like a princess!
“Thank you Callie.” I smiled.
Callie shrugged. “Gotta do what Silver says. Don’t think I’m your friend or anything.”
I took a step back. I laid my ears back in confusion. “But I thought…”
Callie laughed, her golden ears twitched in mirth. “You thought what? That I’d actually accept you here? Get real. Not only did you murder Mia, Silver seems to think you’re the greatest thing since the fire hydrant. So, no, I don’t like you. At all! I’m helping you because Silver made me with an alpha command. He knew I wouldn’t help you otherwise.”
I was at a loss for words. I began to wonder if I had any friends here at all.
“I’m sorry you feel that way Calista. I’ll make sure to remove myself from your line of sight.” I growled as I turned and stormed from the dressing room letting my bedroom door slam shut behind me.
I stormed down the stairs and stopped inches from Silver. I looked up to his face and poked him in his chest. I almost got distracted with its firmness.
“Listen here you! I don’t want you forcing the pack to like me. If they don’t like me it’s fine. The only person in this pack I care about is you!” I said.
Silver looked at me dumbfounded and blinked. Clearly, he was momentarily at a loss for words.
Vandyl on the other hand started to laugh. Well, it was more like a guffaw really. He doubled over and slapped his knee and everything.
“She told you Silver!” He laughed as he draped an arm around my shoulders.
He was just about to give me a noogie and destroy all that work Callie unwillingly did to my hair, when she stepped into the room.
“Vandyl get the fuck away from her! You might catch whatever she has.” Callie hissed as she shot me a glare.
I quickly backed away from Vandyl and stepped closer to Silver. I really did not understand what her problem was.
Apparently, Silver did not understand either. “Callie, what’s your fucking problem?”
Callie growled and pointed at me. “That! That is my fucking problem. Who the fuck is she? Why the hell is she here? Why are you acting like everything’s A-O-fucking-K even though we all saw her kill your fucking girlfriend?! What the hell Silver?! Is her pussy that good that you’ve forgotten you’re our gods damned alpha?”
I blinked and withdrew from them all before running up the stairs. Even as I retreated to the sanctuary that was my room, I could still hear Silver and Callie screaming at each other because of me.
