I also wonder if I'm going to be able to get some Harry Potter die-hard readers to cross over and read my series.

I can't wait either. The illustrations Matt has produced so far add a touch of both realism and magic to the novel. Book #4 is really intense, more so than even book #3. I'm actually a little scared of what people will think. It's also a hard book. The initial version to the editor was too hard so I break the tradition established with the other books and add narration to explain what is going on. It is a 2001 type ending. Once you read book #4, book #1 will read like a totally different book. You will never be able to read the original book #1 ever again. Already from what you have read, you can probably guess that their are characters talking in book #1 that I don't write down. But after book #4, you will know for sure who they are and probably what they said. It is one of the fun secrets that people who don't read the entire serial will never find out and that is that the serial is circular. It was interesting to write in that when I made a change to book #4, I had to make a change in book #1.
