“I won’t make you do this Katalina. But, I will ask you. Some part of you is already mine. Is already part of my pack. If it wasn’t, my command wouldn’t have worked on you. Leave DarkLaw pack Katalina. Join me, in any way that you feel comfortable. Just tell DarkLaw you are not his toy anymore.” Silver said in soft tones while he gently stroked the fur on my face.

I whined pitifully and pressed the side of my face that he touched into his hand.

As far from his purpose as my father had strayed, he was still my father. How could I just walk away?

Katalina! Finish him! My father’s voice bore into my brain again causing me to whine.

A tear slipped free of the confines of my left eye and dampened the fur under it in a damp trail.

If you won’t, then I will! My father roared a bestial howl as he leapt over my head and raked his claws across Silver’s chest.

Silver’s blood erupted in a spray that instantly soaked my fur. I stood there in shock for only a moment before I stood up and howled loud enough to silence the fighting around me.

I turned on my father and growled baring my teeth. Vandyl remained by Silver’s side. He did not seem at all worried that I would hurt him. Perhaps he knew that my father had made my choice for me.

I would be DarkLaw no longer.
